About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of Washington (LW61263458). I hold my Bachelor’s in Social Welfare and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington. I was born in Germany to Vietnamese refugees and relocated to the United States at the age of ten. Being an immigrant has enriched my lived experiences and exposed me to both the complexity of cultural and generational divides, as well as the importance of embracing one’s own cultural identity.

My Experience

I provide therapy for individuals, and have clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults and adults. My primary areas of focus include: anxiety, depression, multi-cultural issues, men’s issues, identity issues, low self-esteem, career counseling, and life transitions. In addition to my three and a half years of clinical work, I also have experience at several non-profits, the City of Seattle Mayor’s Office on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and have worked in the finance field.

My Approach

My approach with you will be from a nonjudgmental, anti-racist lens with curiosity to actively listen and learn more about you as a person with lived experiences. I utilize a blend of CBT and a solution-focused approach derived from the strengths perspective focusing on your resiliency. I see our work as collaborative, with you leading and developing your own treatment goals that feel comfortable, are realistic and manageable. Psychoeducation will be provided to inform your decision making regarding your mental health and healing process. One of my goals will be empowering you to exercise your dormant mental and physical strengths towards self-healing.
